Council of Los Angeles County, announces the
findings of the 2008 Children’s ScoreCard at
a press conference. The biannual ScoreCard
assesses the overall condition of the
County’s 2.8 million children and youth for
use in guiding, planning and tracking the
impact of services.

Supervisor Knabe hosts his annual Public
Safety Appreciation Luncheon for over six
hundred attendees. This annual event honors
law enforcement personnel who serve the
unincorporated communities of the Fourth
District, including the Los Angeles County
Office of Public Safety, the Los Angeles
County Sheriff's Department, the Los Angeles
County Fire Department, and the California
Highway Patrol.

State of the County Address to a crowd of
over 1,000 people at the Long Beach
Convention Center.

- Bellflower Dental Clinic Chair Unveiling

Supervisor Knabe was on hand for the
unveiling of a new dental chair at the
Bellflower Children's Dental Health Clinic.
The Supervisor provided vital funding to
purchase the new dental chair at the clinic,
which is heavily used and provides free
dental screenings for children.

new photo gallery featuring dramatic scenic
shots of Los Angeles County. The photos by
local photographer Stephen Coleman are
located in the hallway of the Third Floor of
the Kenneth Hahn Hall of Administration.
