Harrison of Cerritos Has Been Appointed to the Commission on Aging
by the Board of Supervisors
The Los
Angeles County Board of Supervisors has appointed Hedy L. Harrison
to the Los Angeles County Commission on Aging, Supervisor Knabe
announced today.
Harrison is a resident of Cerritos and is a retired high school
teacher and children’s services librarian. She holds both a
Bachelor’s of Science and a Master’s of Science Degree in Education.
Harrison is also very active in her community, where she works with
the Cerritos Republican Club, the Friends of Arts Education, the
Friends of the Cerritos Library, Da Hawaii Seniors of Cerritos, and
the American Association of Retired People.
“Hedy is an excellent resource on this very important commission,”
said Supervisor Knabe. “Her knowledge of the issues that confront
the aging population, as well as, her experience as an educator
makes Hedy an ideal fit for this commission, and we are very lucky
to have her.”
