Hedy Harrison of Cerritos Has Been Appointed to the Commission on Aging by the Board of Supervisors

The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors has appointed Hedy L. Harrison to the Los Angeles County Commission on Aging, Supervisor Knabe announced today.

Harrison is a resident of Cerritos and is a retired high school teacher and children’s services librarian. She holds both a Bachelor’s of Science and a Master’s of Science Degree in Education.

Harrison is also very active in her community, where she works with the Cerritos Republican Club, the Friends of Arts Education, the Friends of the Cerritos Library, Da Hawaii Seniors of Cerritos, and the American Association of Retired People.

“Hedy is an excellent resource on this very important commission,” said Supervisor Knabe. “Her knowledge of the issues that confront the aging population, as well as, her experience as an educator makes Hedy an ideal fit for this commission, and we are very lucky to have her.”
