Supervisor Don Knabe issued the following statement today regarding the passing of Jenny Oropeza, 28^th District State Senator from Long Beach.

“I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of my dear friend, Senator Jenny Oropeza, one of the most generous and well respected members of the State Senate. I had the honor of working with Senator Oropeza at every level of elected office she held and saw firsthand her dedication to public service. Jenny always had a steadfast passion for the wellbeing and quality of life for those she represented. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family during this difficult time. Jenny, a true public servant, will be sorely missed.”
