Supervisor Don Knabe honored Palos Verdes High School student, Ryan Low at today’s Board of Supervisors meeting. In 2010, Ryan was sponsored by American Legion Post 184 in Redondo Beach as a Boys State Representative from Palos Verdes High School. At the Boys State gathering in 2010, Ryan was one of two State Representatives elected by his peers to represent the State of California at Boys Nation.

Supervisor Knabe’s 2010 Knabe Cup for Girls took place at the Lakewood Country Club. Twenty nine local high schools took part in the event. At the end of the day, Torrance High School walked away with their 6th Knabe Cup title!

Members of the City of La Mirada Youth in Government took a field trip to the Kenneth Hahn Hall of Administration to tour the office of Supervisor Don Knabe and attend the Board of Supervisors meeting. The excursion was a great opportunity for the group to get a perspective as to how County government works.
